Several attorneys at HGS are involved in the Tallahassee Bar Association, a voluntary bar association comprised of local attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students. The TBA was founded in 1919 and its purpose is to promote fellowship among the legal community, enhance the legal profession, and serve the community. The TBA is involved in important community activities, including community legal education and fundraising. TBA members participate in the Celebrity Waiter fundraising event for Legal Aid and act as coaches and judges for local mock trial and moot court competitions. Members also attend monthly meetings and various social events allowing them to interact with fellow members of the Tallahassee legal community. Members of the TBA generally provide pro-bono legal services as part of their membership. The TBA also provides continuing legal education opportunities for its members.
