Three HGS Attorneys Lead Seminar on Environmental & Land Use Considerations for Real Estate Transactions

Posted Thursday, April 26th, 2012

Three HGS Attorneys spoke at a continuing legal education seminar last Friday, Environmental and Land Use Considerations for Real Estate Transactions 2012. The seminar is a bi-annual update held by the Environmental & Land Use Law Section and the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. It is aimed at helping real estate professionals spot issues, problems, and pitfalls related to environmental and land use law. The seminar uses a case study to illustrate real-world examples of the laws the presenters discuss.

Virginia Dailey spoke on “Sovereign Submerged Lands Issues: Permitting & Leasing.” Jason Merritt presented “Who Controls Entitlements and Permits after Foreclosure?” Jake Cremer, who organized the seminar, developed and introduced its case study. A recording of the seminar and the presentation materials are available for purchase from the Florida Bar.
