HGS Chili Cook-Off Team Takes Home Trophy

On January 27, 2016, a team of Hopping Green & Sams (HGS) staff and attorneys Doug Smith, Michael Alao, French Brown, Clark Gates, Lindsay Whelan, Erin Tilton, and Robert Volpe took home the award for Best Five-Alarm Chili at the Tallahassee Bar Association’s 20th Annual Chili Cook-Off. The award for Best Five-Alarm Chili crowns the hottest, but still good tasting chili. Seventeen teams competed, and this is the second year in a row that team HGS has won this award. The team’s theme this year was based on Star Wars. HGS sponsors this event annually, and the proceeds support the Legal Aid Foundation Tallahassee.
