HGS Attorneys Facilitate Establishment of Wynnmere West Community Development District, Validate $6 Million in Bonds and Amend the District’s Boundaries

On August 12, 2014, the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 14-21 establishing the Wynnmere West Community Development District (District) as petitioned by CHW Group, LLC, and represented by Hopping Green & Sams (HGS) attorneys, Roy Van Wyk and Sarah Warren. The District initially contained approximately 55.63 acres located south of 19th Avenue N.E. and East of US Highway 41 N. On March 24, 2015, the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 15-5 amending the boundaries to include an additional 74.68 acres as petitioned by the District, for a total of approximately 130.31 acres. On October 21, 2014, the District received a Final Judgment from the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida validating its Special Assessment Bonds in an amount not to exceed $6,000,000, with the assistance of Roy Van Wyk and Sarah Warren. Since its establishment, the District has issued two series of Special Assessments Bonds: Series 2014 Special Assessment Bonds in the amount of $2,870,000 and Series 2015A-1 Bonds in the amount of $3,050,000, both for the construction and acquisition of public infrastructure improvements.
