In a January 28, 2013, notice, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has requested public comment on its national enforcement initiatives for fiscal years 2014-2016. This includes a request for comment on current enforcement initiatives (which may be carried forward or refined for 2014-2016) and any proposed new initiatives. Current national enforcement initiatives address: (1) municipal infrastructure; (2) mineral processing (including phosphoric acid facilities); (3) new source review (including coal-fired utilities, cement plants, glass plants, and acid production plants); (4) air toxics; (5) energy extraction; and (6) concentrated animal feeding operations.
