On February 5, 2015, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed approval of revisions to Florida’s state implementation plan (SIP) addressing the Hillsborough County nonattainment area for the 2008 lead national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS). The SIP revision includes a lead emissions inventory, an analysis of reasonably available control technology and reasonably available control measures, a reasonable further progress plan, a modeling demonstration that shows attainment with the standard by December 31, 2015, and contingency measures as required by the Clean Air Act.
Comments on the proposed approval are due March 9, 2015.
