Posted Friday, March 7th, 2014

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has extended the comment period by 60 days on its re-proposed New Source Performance Standards for carbon dioxide (CO2) for new electric generating units (EGUs).  In the same action, EPA also extended the comment period on its related February 26, 2014, notice of data availability, which solicits comments on EPA’s interpretation of certain provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.  Comments on both were originally due by March 10, 2014, and are now due by May 9, 2014.  A more detailed discussion of the re-proposed carbon dioxide standards can be found here.  For additional information, contact Andrew Holway.
