DEP’s Larry George Retiring

After a long and dedicated career, Larry George is retiring from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and his current position as a Program Administrator in the Office of Business Planning.  Larry began his career with the State of Florida as a meteorologist in the Bureau of Air Quality Management.  Since then, Larry has been promoted to a number of different positions within DEP, including Environmental Administrator within the Bureau of Air Quality Management, Bureau Chief of Air Monitoring, Program Management and Policy Manager, and Program Administrator for the Office of Program Management and Policy Analysis.  In all, Larry has spent more than 35 years providing dedicated and outstanding service to the State of Florida and its citizens.  Larry’s friends and colleagues are invited to Maclay Gardens Gardener’s Cottage on March 14, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., to celebrate Larry’s career and wish him well in retirement.
