In accordance with federal regulatory requirements, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has published its 2013 Annual Air Monitoring Network Plan. The plan demonstrates Florida’s compliance with federal air monitoring network regulations, details any changes to the network proposed during the next 18 months, and provides specific information on the state’s existing and proposed monitoring sites. The changes in the 2013 plan primarily relate to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) near road monitoring requirements, National Core monitoring requirements, and sulfur dioxide (SO2) monitoring requirements, and include the placement of new monitors or the relocation of existing monitors at 12 locations. A full version of the plan is available here.
