In two recent notices, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has announced a public hearing and opportunity to comment on proposed revisions to Florida’s Clean Air Act State Implementation Plan (SIP) and proposed rule development regarding Rule 62-210.200, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), which provides definitions applicable to air regulations in Florida, including Chapters 62-204, 62-212, 62-213, 62-214, 62-296, and 62-297 of the F.A.C.
DEP’s proposed SIP revisions would incorporate a series of past amendments to sections of Chapter 62-210, F.A.C. This includes past amendments to Rules 62-210.200 (Definitions), 62-210.300 (Permits Required), 62-210.310 (Air General Permits), 62-210.350 (Public Notice and Comment), and the past repeal of 62-210.920 (Registration Forms for Air General Permits). The deadline to submit comments is February 22, 2013; a public hearing will be held that same day at 10:00 a.m. at DEP’s offices at 2600 Blairstone Road. DEP’s proposed rule development for Rule 62-210.200, F.A.C., would delete obsolete definitions and correct numbering and alphabetic listing. If requested, and not deemed unnecessary, a public hearing will be noticed on this proposed rule development in a future edition of the Florida Administrative Register. Before finalizing these proposed rule revisions, DEP must also publish a proposed rule making notice that will include an opportunity for hearing and comment.
