President Trump Nominates Former HGS Attorney T. Kent Wetherell, II, to the Federal Bench

On April 26, President Donald J. Trump announced his nomination of Judge T. Kent Wetherell, II, to serve as a District Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. Judge Wetherell began his legal career at Hopping Green & Sams (HGS), where he practiced for four years. Judge Wetherell subsequently entered government service, serving for two years in the Office of the Florida Attorney General, for seven years as an Administrative Law Judge, and for the last nine years as a Judge on Florida’s First District Court of Appeal. Judge Wetherell is recognized for his experience, acumen, humility, and integrity. HGS congratulates Judge Wetherell on his nomination and wishes him well in his new appointment.
