Services Manager

Hopping Green & Sams, P.A. is seeking a Services Manager. The position is responsible for all office support functions including mailroom, copiers, phones, purchasing, inventory control, conference room set-ups, catering, vendor management, special events set-up, and day-to-day coordination of building related issues. The ideal candidate must have:

  • A solid understanding of support operations in a professional office; similar experience within a retail or restaurant environment will be considered.
  • Ability to identify and analyze issues, and recommend/implement solutions;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills towards managing multiple projects, at times with competing deadlines;
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of internal and external staff and management;
  • Strong supervisory experience; directing the workflow of subordinate employees and counsel employees, demonstrating confidentiality and resourcefulness;
  • Basic skills in MS Office applications are required;
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work beyond normal business hours and occasional nights and/or weekends as necessary to ensure supervision of projects and team members.

Accounting HR Specialist

Hopping Green & Sams, a downtown Tallahassee law firm, is seeking a full time and experienced Accounting/HR Specialist. Flexible multi-tasker, attention to detail and follow-through abilities, strong analytical and organizational skills required. A great attitude, calm and professional manner within a fast paced environment, and the ability to own assignments, assume substantial responsibility and work both independently and in a team, are necessary.

The Accounting/HR Specialist will take responsibility for several general accounting functions, administer payroll and assist with HR processes, policies and related tasks. The Accounting/HR Specialist will also effectively handle these responsibilities with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy in compliance with federal and state regulations, and company policy.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2 to 4 years of general accounting experience; experience within a law firm is preferred but not required
  • 2 to 4 years of prior payroll experience
  • 1 to 2 years of HR administrative experience
  • Experience using payroll and HR software systems
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
  • Availability and willingness to work during year’s end, including overtime if necessary, to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
